Xavier McKinney Reflects On How The Giants Aren't Prioritizing Non-QB Impact Players

Does he have a point?

New York Giants safety Xavier McKinney recently reflected on how his team opted to operate with regarding to doling out contracts to its various players.

During a recent conversation on Bleav's Talkin' Ball With Pat Leonard podcast, McKinney explained to The New York Post scribe how he felt he deserved to be compensated.

McKinney and his comrade Saquon Barkley were both not awarded with a franchise tag from the Giants today, while New York quarterback Daniel Jones, who's been nothing if not a disappointment thus far, was prioritized with a lucrative contract last year.

Ahead of this news, McKinney opted to be diplomatic in discussing player compensation.

"So, you know, for me, I'm always for everybody getting paid, because at the end of the day, we are trying to make that money to be able to change the way we live, to be the change... [to improve] how our family [lives] their lives and so on and so forth."

"So regardless of, you know, who gets paid, we still got a job to do. We all we all have one common goal, and that's to go out there and win. That's to go out there and win championships. And, you know, that's what, you know, ultimately that we're looking to do."
