The Timberwolves were no match for Denver Wednesday night at Target Center, falling to the Nuggets 100-85.

Kenneth Faried was one of five Nuggets in double figures. He scored 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the Nuggets to the victory.

But Faried had a lot of help. Will Barton added 17 and Danilo Gallinari added 16 for Denver.

Denver ran the Wolves off the floor, outscoring Minnesota 19-3 on the fast break. In the end the Wolves lost their fourth straight game.

Andrew Wiggins had a solid night for the Wolves, finishing with 20 points, including a dunk at the end of another pretty lob pass from Ricky Rubio.

Rubio finished with another double-double, with 10 points and 10 assists. Kevin Garnett was 5-of-6 from the floor for 11 points in his limited minutes.

Wolves coach Flip Saunders called it one of the most disappointing losses of the season.

Both Kevin Martin and Nikola Pekovic were back from the ailments that caused them to miss Monday night's game. Neither really factored much into the game, though. Pekovic finished with six points and Martin was way off his average, finishing with just nine.

The Wolves (13-47) host Portland on Saturday.
