With the retirement of Timberwolves legend Kevin Garnett, Karl-Anthony Towns took to his Instagram to write a heartfelt message to his teammate.

"Thank you for everything my brother," Towns wrote. "You know how much I'm gonna miss playing with you and just simply having you around. Congrats on having one of the greatest careers the game has ever seen. We talked. I know what I must do. I'll take it from here."

Towns is the reigning Rookie of the Year and with just one season under his belt, he's already considered one of the best players in the league.

On Saturday morning, head coach Tom Thibodeau also released a statement congratulating Garnett on his storied career.
