'Evil' Vikings owner loses lengthy New Jersey fraud suit

After 21 years, a New Jersey lawsuit has finally been settled.

And it's a loss for the Wilf family.

Vikings owner Zygi Wilf, his brother and cousin have been convicted of fraud, breach of contract and racketeering, according to the Associated Press.

The Wilfs were sued by partners in a huge apartment complex in Montville, N.J., who claimed they were cheated out of their fair share.

According to the New Jersey Star-Ledger, it will take two weeks for Judge Deanne Wilson to figure out the damages. The plaintiffs, in their closing arguments, sought a total of $51 million from the Wilfs.

In her ruling, Wilson commented that Wilf himself had testified that he had reneged on the deal, calling his motives "evil."

The lead attorney for the Wilf camp said his clients have "earned a well-deserved reputation for integrity and honest dealings," but declined further comment.
