NFL fines Justin Jefferson for touchdown celebration against Lions

His celebration to the camera apparently violated the NFL's rule against making a 'violent gesture.'

The NFL has fined Justin Jefferson $13,659 for unsportsmanlike conduct after his touchdown reception during Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the fine is for a brief gun-like gesture Jefferson made to the camera after his touchdown reception, which violates the NFL rule against making a “violent gesture.”

It’s the second time Jefferson has been fined after a game this season for unsportsmanlike conduct. Jefferson was fined $10,927 after the Vikings’ Oct. 1 victory over the Carolina Panthers over his celebration in which he seemingly mocked the Panthers’ defense with his “too little” celebration after his touchdown catch that put Minnesota up 21-13 in the game.
