The Minnesota Vikings will hold training camp in Mankato this summer for a 49th consecutive year, the team announced Wednesday.

Players will report to training camp on Thursday, July 24, with the first official practice on Friday, July 25.

According to the Pioneer Press, the Vikings will hold an evening practice at Blakeslee Stadium on Friday, August 2. That night's festivities will include fireworks and a team introduction.

Blakeslee Stadium is the home of the Minnesota State-Mankato University football team. The Vikings hold multiple night scrimmages throughout training camp every year.

The Star Tribune reports that training camp will close Aug. 15, with the first preseason game one day later at TCF Bank Stadium versus the Arizona Cardinals.
