The Minnesota Vikings are 3-0 despite dealing with some major injuries to some key players. So when Alex Boone left Sunday's game with a hip injury, you can't blame the Vikings if they were fearing the worst.

But the team got some good news when Boone underwent an MRI on Monday.

"He should be OK, I think," Vikings coach Mike Zimmer told reporters of Boone Monday. "I won't know until we get out there and practice, but from what I understand, he's feeling better."

Boone was held to 19 snaps in yesterday's 22-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. He did not return after limping off the field, leaving many fearing the worst.

Zimmer added that he thought Boone's replacement Jeremiah Sirles stepped up and did a nice job replacing Boone.

But with Adrian Peterson and Matt Kalil going on injured reserve last week, the last thing the Vikings needed was another major injury – it looks like for at least the time being they have avoided one.
