Josh Harding talks about first win since MS diagnosis

It was Wild goalie Josh Harding's seventh career shutout Sunday in the team's 1-0 victory over Dallas: but his first since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Harding talked about his gratitude for the support he's received -- from the players to management -- after the shutout victory Sunday night, The Associated Press reports.

"It's one of the reasons I signed back here," Harding said. "This is a family and I can't say enough about each and every guy in here."

Harding, 28, was diagnosed with MS in September and made his battle against the disease public in November.

The goalie signed a new three-year contract with the Wild in June.

Harding stopped all 24 shots on goal in Sunday's victory.

Zach Parise, who scored the lone, game-winning goal for the Wild, said he wasn't surprised with Harding's level of play after skating with the goalie frequently at the University of Minnesota during the NHL lockout, The AP reported.

"He's been looking good for a while," Parise said.
