Wild make a big trade, send Scandella and Pominville to Buffalo

Here are the forwards the Wild are getting back in return.

The Minnesota Wild are trading one of their prized defenseman and veteran forward Jason Pominville to Buffalo.

Marco Scandella, Pominville and a fourth-round draft pick are heading to the Sabres, the team announced. In exchange, the Wild will get a couple young forwards and a third-round pick.

Those forwards?

Tyler Ennis, a 27-year-old that's put up 237 points in 419 career games. He's talented offensively but has battled injuries, including a groin that kept him out of 30 games last season.

And Marcus Foligno, 26, who set career highs in goals and blocked shots last year, while ranking fifth in the NHL in hits.

For Pominville it's a return to a familiar place. He spent his first nine NHL seasons with the Sabres organization.
