College football coach rides live bull to raise funds for team

Watch as college football coach Barry Odom takes on a live bull to raise some money for his UNLV program

Being the head coach of a college football program means you have to take part in all kinds of non-football activities like fund-raising for the school and the team, and recently UNLV head coach Barry Odom went out of his way to get the attention of boosters.

Odom recently looked to bring attention to the Rebels football program by donning the school colors and riding a live bull in front of an arena packed with fans. And in the process, it appears that he took one right on the chin.

Odom looked a little woozy after the experience, but he was able to help himself up off the ground and felt better afterwards.

Odom heads into his second season at the helm of UNLV. Last year in his debut, the Rebels won their most games since 1984, finishing with a 9-5 overall record after a solid 6-1 start that included a win against an SEC opponent (Vanderbilt).

UNLV also qualified for its first Mountain West Conference Championship Game in program history, ultimately falling to Boise State in that matchup.

The school also earned a spot in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl, the program's first bowl game appearance in a decade, losing to Kansas.

But the Rebels' nine victories are more than the team had dating back to 2020 through 2022 combined, and now Odom looks to build on that foundation.
