UPDATE: Anthony Davis' Injury Status For Lakers-Clippers Game

Anthony Davis is on the injury report for Wednesday's game.

UPDATE: Anthony Davis is available

On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers are taking on the Los Angeles Clippers at Crypto.com Arena.

For the game, eight-time All-Star Anthony Davis is on the injury report listed as questionable due to a foot injury.

Underdog NBA: "Anthony Davis (foot) questionable Wednesday."

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Davis (and four-time NBA Champion LeBron James) are likely going to be a game-time decision.

Via Charania: "Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are expected to be game-time decisions tonight vs. Clippers, per source."

The former Kentucky star is in the middle of another excellent season with averages of 26.5 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest in 53 games while shooting 56.9% from the field.

He is in his 11th season in the NBA (his fourth playing for the Lakers) and helped the team win the championship over the Miami Heat in 2020.

Right now, the Lakers are one of the hottest teams in the entire NBA, in the middle of a four-game winning streak and 7-3 in their last ten games.

They are 41-38 in 79 games, which has them tied with the Clippers for the sixth seed in the Western Conference.

Therefore, whoever wins Wednesday's showdown will have sole possession of the sixth seed, which is the final guaranteed playoff spot.

The Clippers are 5-5 in their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Back in January, the Clippers beat the Lakers 133-115.
