FINAL UPDATE: Anthony Edwards And Karl-Anthony Towns' Status For Trail Blazers-Timberwolves Game

Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns are both on the injury report for Sunday's game.

FINAL UPDATE: Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns are both in the starting lineup. 

On Sunday afternoon, the Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Portland Trail Blazers at the Target Center in Minnesota.     

For the game, two of their best players (Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns) are both on the injury report.

Towns comes into the night with averages of 20.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per contest in 25 games while shooting 49.2% from the field. 

As for Edwards, he has averages of 24.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.6 steals per contest in 75 games while shooting 45.9% from the field. 

The Timberwolves are coming off a season where they made the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2018 (they lost to the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round). 

Right now, they are 39-39 in 78 games, which has them as the ninth seed (one of the final two play-in tournament spots) in the Western Conference. 

They are 5-5 in their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak. 

At home, the Timberwolves have gone 21-18 in the 38 games they have hosted at the Target Center.

Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers will miss the postseason for the second consecutive year, as they are the 13th seed in the west with a 32-45 record in 77 games. 

They are 1-9 in their last ten games and on a five-game losing streak. 

On the road, the Trail Blazers are 15-22 in 37 games played away from Portland.
