Bam Adebayo's Injury Status For Heat-Nets Game

Bam Adebayo has been ruled out for Saturday's game.

On Saturday evening, the Miami Heat will face off against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center in New York. 

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as Bam Adebayo has been ruled out.  

Via The Heat: "#MIAvsBKN INJURY UPDATE: Bam Adebayo (hip) & Duncan Robinson (thumb) have both been ruled out of tonight’s game vs the Nets."

Adebayo has played in 14 games so far this season and is averaging 22.7 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 53.5% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.  

The Heat are 10-6 in their first 16 games, which has them as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They are 8-2 over the last ten games but most recently lost to the New York Knicks by a score of 100-98 on Friday. 

In 35 minutes of playing time, Adebayo had 21 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two steals while shooting 8/16 from the field. 

Adebayo is in his seventh season in the NBA and has become one of the best centers in the league. 

Last season, the former Kentucky star averaged 20.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals per contest. 

Following the Nets, the Heat will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they host the Milwaukee Bucks. 

As for the Nets, they are the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 6-8 record in their first 14 games, and they are in the middle of a three-game losing streak.
