Bam Adebayo's Injury Status For Hornets-Heat Game

Bam Adebayo remains ruled out for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Miami Heat will host the Charlotte Hornets in Florida.

For the game, the Heat will remain without one of their best players, as All-Star center Bam Adebayo has been ruled out.

Adebayo has missed each of the previous four games, so this will be his fifth straight out of the lineup.

Via The Heat on Tuesday: "#CHAvsMIA INJURY UPDATE: Bam Adebayo (hip) and Haywood Highsmith (back) have both been ruled out of tomorrow night’s game vs the Hornets."

Adebayo has played in 16 games so far this season and is averaging 22.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 52.2% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.

He is one of the team's best players and their top defender, so his status will be noteworthy going forward.

Right now, the Heat are 13-10 in their first 23 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.

Most recently, they defeated the Hornets (in North Carolina on Monday) by a score of 116-114.

Duncan Robinson led the team with 24 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Following the Hornets, the Heat will play their next game on Thursday when they host the Chicago Bulls.

As for the Hornets, they are 7-14 in their first 21 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and 3-6 in the nine games they have played on the road away from North Carolina.
