Adebayo is one of the most critical players on the team and has averaged 18.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 51.1% from the field through the first 12 games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

He is in his sixth season in the NBA (all with the Heat) and has helped the franchise make the Conference Finals three times in the previous four seasons.

Despite being the eighth seed, the Heat have one of the most talented rosters in the league.

In the first two rounds, they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks (the first seed) and the New York Knicks (the fifth seed).

Last year, the Celtics beat the Heat in Game 7 of the Conference Finals (they ended up losing to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals in six games).

The Celtics are the second seed in the Eastern Conference and have beaten the Atlanta Hawks (in six games) and the Philadelphia 76ers (in seven games) through the first two rounds.

Whoever wins the series will advance to the 2023 NBA Finals and face off against either the Denver Nuggets or the Los Angeles Lakers (the Nuggets lead the series 2-0).
