Ben Simmons' Injury Status For Hawks-Nets Game

Ben Simmons is on the injury report for Saturday's game.

On Saturday afternoon, the Brooklyn Nets will host the Atlanta Hawks at Barclays Center in New York.  

For the game, the Nets will be without one of their best players, as three-time NBA All-Star Ben Simmons has been ruled out.   

The former LSU star has missed each of the previous two games, so this will be his third straight out of action.

Simmons is averaging 6.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.7 assists per contest while shooting 58.1% from the field in 15 games. 

The Nets are the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 23-36 record in 59 games. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games but are coming off an impressive 124-97 victory over the Hawks (also at home) on Thursday evening. 

Cameron Johnson led the way with 29 points while shooting 10/15 from the field. 

Following the Hawks, the Nets will remain at home to host the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday evening. 

At Barclays Center, they have gone 14-17 in 31 games. 

As for the Hawks, they are one spot ahead of the Nets (tenth seed) and have a 26-33 record in 59 games.  

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and are 11-17 in the 28 games they have played on the road away from State Farm Arena.  

Following the Nets, the Hawks will play the New York Knicks on Tuesday evening at Madison Square Garden.
