Ben Simmons' Injury Status For Nets-Timberwolves Game

Ben Simmons has been ruled out for Friday's game.

On Friday night, the Brooklyn Nets will be at the Target Center in Minneapolis to face off with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

For the game, they will remain without one of their best players, as Ben Simmons has been ruled out.

The former LSU star has missed each of the last eight games, so this will be his ninth straight out of action.

He is in his first season playing for the Nets after being traded (via the Philadelphia 76ers) last season.

Currently, Simmons has solid averages of 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.3 steals per contest in 42 games (while shooting 56.6% from the field).

Before missing the entire 2021-22 season, he had made the NBA All-Star Game three times in a row and was one of the best young stars in the league.

Right now, the Nets are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 37-29 record in 66 games.

They are 4-6 in their last ten games and a solid 18-17 in the 35 games they have played on the road away from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

As for the Timberwolves, they are tied for the sixth seed in the Western Conference and have a 34-33 record in 67 games.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games and a very solid 20-15 in the 35 games they have hosted at the Target Center in Minnesota.

Last season, both the Nets and Timberwolves lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
