Brandon Ingram's Injury Status For Trail Blazers-Pelicans Game

Brandon Ingram has been ruled out for Sunday's game.

On Sunday night, the New Orleans Pelicans are hosting the Portland Trail Blazers in Louisiana.

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as 2020 NBA All-Star Brandon Ingram has been ruled out due to an ankle injury.

He also missed Saturday's 110-96 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, so this will be his second straight game out of the lineup.

Underdog NBA: "Brandon Ingram (ankle) ruled out Sunday."

The former Duke star is in the middle of a productive season with averages of 22.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest in 31 games.

He's also shooting an impressive 47.0% from the field and 39.3% from the three-point range.

The Pelicans enter the night tied with the Thunder for the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 32-35 record in 67 games.

They are 3-7 in their last ten games and 21-12 in the 33 games they have hosted at home in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Currently, the Pelicans are just a half-game behind the Utah Jazz for the tenth seed (the final play-in tournament spot).

Last season, they made the first round of the NBA Playoffs but lost to the Phoenix Suns in six games.

As for the Trail Blazers, they are the 13th seed in the west and have a 31-36 record in 67 games.

They are 3-7 in their last ten games and 14-21 in the 35 games they have played on the road away from Portland, Oregon.

The Trail Blazers missed the postseason in 2022.
