UPDATE: Brandon Ingram's Current Status For Heat-Pelicans Game

Brandon Ingram is on the injury report for Friday's game.

UPDATE: Brandon Ingram has been ruled out. 

On Friday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will host the Miami Heat in Louisiana. 

For the game, the Pelicans could be without one of their best players, as 2020 NBA All-Star Brandon Ingram is on the injury report.   

Ingram missed the team's last game, so this would be his second straight out of the lineup (if he doesn't play).

Ingram is in the middle of another very good season with averages of 21.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.8 assists per contest while shooting 49.0% from the field and 36.2% from the three-point range in 51 games. 

The Pelicans are the fifth seed in the Western Conference and have a 34-22 record in 56 games. 

They are playing some of their best basketball of the season and are in the middle of a four-game winning streak (and 8-2 over their last ten games). 

Most recently, the Pelicans beat the Houston Rockets by a score of 127-105. 

Following their showdown with the Heat, they will remain in New Orleans to host the Chicago Bulls on Sunday evening. 

As for the Heat, they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 30-25 record in 55 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 6-4 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Heat beat the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 109-104. 

Following the Pelicans, they will remain on the road and visit the Sacramento Kings on Monday evening.
