Luka Doncic Throws Water Bottle During Timeout In Pacers-Mavs Game
On Tuesday evening, the Dallas Mavericks hosted Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers in Texas.
The Mavs fell apart in the third quarter and ended up losing the game by a score of 137-120.
During a timeout, All-Star Luka Doncic was seen frustrated on the bench, as he threw a water bottle on the ground (h/t NBA on ESPN).
The clip got a lot of views on social media.
Doncic finished his night with 39 points, ten rebounds and 11 assists while shooting 15/30 from the field and 4/13 from the three-point range in 43 minutes of playing time.
That said, the Mavs are now in the middle of a three-game losing streak and are 5-5 over their last ten games.
The Mavs have had an up-and-down season and are still 34-28 in 62 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference.
They are 18-15 in 33 games at home, while they have gone 16-13 in the 29 they have played on the road away from Dallas.
Doncic is in his sixth season in the NBA (all with Dallas) and led the Mavs to the Western Conference Finals in 2022.
However, they are coming off a season where they acquired Kyrie Irving and still missed the NBA playoffs (and play-in tournament).
Following their loss to the Pacers, the Mavs will play their next game on Thursday evening when they host Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat.
The Heat are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-26 record in 61 games.
