BREAKING: Anthony Edwards' Injury Status In Magic-Timberwolves Game

Anthony Edwards went to the locker room during Friday's game.

UPDATE: Anthony Edwards will start the second half (h/t Underdog NBA).  

On Friday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves are hosting the Orlando Magic at the Target Center.  

During the first half, All-Star guard Anthony Edwards went to the locker room with an injury. 

Edwards has eight points, two rebounds and one steal while shooting 4/6 from the field and 0/1 from the three-point range in 14 minutes of playing time. 

There has been no word from the team on his status for the remainder of the night.

Edwards is the best player on the team and came into the evening with averages of 25.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 46.4% from the field and 38.9% from the three-point range in 45 games. 

He has helped the Timberwolves get off to an incredible start to the season, as they are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 34-14 record in their first 48 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games. 

Following the Magic, the Timberwolves will remain at home to host the Houston Rockets on Sunday evening. 

As for the Magic, they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 25-23 record in their first 48 games.  

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and are 10-16 in the 26 games they have played on the rod away from Orlando, Florida.
