BREAKING: Anthony Edwards' Injury Status In Timberwolves-Pacers Game

Anthony Edwards went to the locker room during Thursday's game.

UPDATE: Anthony Edwards has returned to the game.

On Thursday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves are playing the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis.   

Following the first play of the game, All-Star guard Anthony Edwards went to the locker room with an injury.  

Edwards is having another excellent season with averages of 26.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 46.5% from the field and 37.2% from the three-point range in 59 games.   

The Timberwolves are among the best teams in the league and are 43-19 in 62 games, which has them tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the first seed in the Western Conference. 

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Portland Trail Blazers by a score of 119-114 (at home). 

In 37 minutes of playing time, Edwards had 27 points, five rebounds, two assists and three steals while shooting 9/20 from the field and 3/10 from the three-point range. 

Following the Pacers, the Timberwolves will visit Darius Garland and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday evening in Ohio. 

On the road, they are 20-11 in the 31 games they have played away from the Target Center. 

As for the Pacers, they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-28 record in 63 games. 

Following the Timberwolves, they will visit Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic on Sunday evening in Florida.
