BREAKING: Bradley Beal Injury Update Before Suns-Jazz Game

The Phoenix Suns have announced an injury update on Bradley Beal.

On Friday evening, the Phoenix Suns will be in Salt Lake City to face off against the Utah Jazz.

For the game, Bradley Beal had been listed as doubtful, but he has now been ruled out, and the Suns have announced an injury update.

Via The Suns: "INJURY UPDATE: The Phoenix Suns today announced that guard Bradley Beal will be out and re-evaluated in three weeks as he continues to rehab a low back strain. This timeline was determined following further evaluation and consultation on his injury."

Beal has played in three games so far this season and is averaging 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest while shooting 39.1% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.

He is in his first year with the Suns after getting traded (via the Washington Wizards) over the offseason.

The former Florida star had spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Wizards.

Meanwhile, the Suns are 5-6 in their first 11 games, which has them tied for the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

Most recently, they defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves by a score of 133-115 in Arizona on Wednesday (Beal did not play in the game).

The Suns and Jazz will play (again) in Salt Lake City on Sunday.

As for the Jazz, they are 4-7 in their first 11 games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

Most recently, they beat the Portland Trail Blazers by a score of 115-99 (at home on Tuesday).
