BREAKING: Brandon Ingram's Injury Status In Pelicans-Knicks Game

Brandon Ingram went to the locker room during Tuesday's game.

UPDATE: Brandon Ingram has returned to the game (h/t Underdog NBA). 

On Tuesday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans are at Madison Square Garden playing the New York Knicks. 

During the first half, 2020 NBA All-Star Brandon Ingram went to the locker room with an injury.   

Ingram has three points, two rebounds, one assist and one block while shooting 1/4 from the field in seven minutes of playing time. 

Via Underdog NBA: "Status alert: Brandon Ingram (ankle) headed to locker room Tuesday."

SNY's Ian Begley added more details. 

Via Begley: "Brandon Ingram is being helped up off the floor with what looked like a right leg (foot/ankle?) injury midway through the first quarter of Pelicans-Knicks. Ingram cautiously walked off the floor without assistance."

Ingram entered the evening with averages of 21.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 5.8 assists per contest while shooting 48.9% from the field and 36.1% from the three-point range in 52 games. 

The Pelicans are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 34-24 record in 58 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games. 

Following the Knicks, the Pelicans head to Indiana for a showdown with the Pacers on Wednesday evening. 

As for the Knicks, they are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-23 record in 58 games. 

Following the Pelicans, they will remain in New York City to host Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Thursday evening at Madison Square Garden.
