BREAKING: Darius Garland's Final Injury Status For Cavs-Hornets Game

Darius Garland has been upgraded to available for Sunday's game.

On Sunday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers are in North Carolina to face off with the Charlotte Hornets.

For the game, they will have one of their best players in the starting lineup, as Darius Garland has been upgraded to available.

He missed Friday's 119-115 loss to the Miami Heat in Florida, so the Cavs will have him back after just a one-game absence.

Underdog NBA: "Darius Garland (quad) will play Sunday."

The 2022 NBA All-Star is in the middle of another fantastic season with averages of 22.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 1.3 steals per contest in 58 games.

He is also shooting 47.1% from the field and 43.0% from the three-point range.

The Cavs come into the night as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 42-27 record in 69 games.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games and 14-20 in 34 games they have played on the road away from Cleveland, Ohio.

The franchise hasn't been to the NBA Playoffs since 2018, but the drought will likely come to an end this year.

As for the Hornets, it's been a tough season due to injuries.

They are the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 22-47 record in 69 games.

Over the last ten games, the Hornets are 6-4, and they are 11-21 in the 32 games they have hosted at home in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In each of the last two seasons, they have lost in the first game of the play-in tournament.
