BREAKING: Darius Garland's Final Injury Status For Cavs-Nets Game

Darius Garland is available for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers will face off against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center in New York.

For the game, they will have their starting point guard in the lineup, as Darius Garland has been upgraded to available. 

Via Underdog NBA: "Darius Garland (hamstring) will start Wednesday."

Garland is coming off another fantastic season where he averaged 21.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 46.2% from the field and 41.0% from the three-point range in 69 games.

The former Vanderbilt star was the fifth pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and has played four seasons in the league (all with the Cavs).

He made the All-Star Game in 2022 and has solid career averages of 18.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 44.9% from the field and 38.7% from the three-point range in 250 regular season games.

The Cavs are coming off a year where they were the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 51-31 record. 

They made the NBA playoffs for the first time since the 2018 season but lost to Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks in the first round (in five games). 

As for the Nets, they traded away Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant during the middle of last season but still finished as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 45-37 record. 

In the first round, they lost to Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers (in four games).
