BREAKING: Deandre Ayton's Injury Status For Jazz-Trail Blazers Game

Deandre Ayton has been ruled out for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Portland Trail Blazers are hosting the Utah Jazz in Oregon.

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as starting center Deandre Ayton has been ruled out.

Ayton has played in all 14 games this season and is averaging 12.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 57.4% from the field. 

The Trail Blazers are 3-11 in their first 14 games and are in the middle of an eight-game losing streak.  

Most recently, they lost to the Phoenix Suns by a score of 120-107. 

In 31 minutes of playing time, Ayton had 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block while shooting 9/14 from the field.

Over the previous ten games, the Trail Blazers are 2-8, and they are 1-5 in the six games they have hosted in Oregon. 

Ayton is in his first season with the Trail Blazers after spending the previous five years with the Suns (he was the first pick in the 2018 NBA Draft). 

Following the Jazz, the Trail Blazers will play their next game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday afternoon in Wisconsin. 

As for the Jazz, they are 4-10 in their first 14 games and are in the middle of a three-game losing streak. 

They most recently lost to the Los Angeles Lakers by a score of 131-99. 

After the Trail Blazers, they will play the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Saturday.
