BREAKING: Giannis Antetokounmpo's Injury Status For Bucks-Cavs Game

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been added to the injury report.

On Wednesday evening, the Milwaukee Bucks will be in Ohio to face off against the Cleveland Cavaliers. 

For the game, the Bucks will be without their best player, as two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has been ruled out.  

Via Eric Nehm of The Athletic: "Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as OUT on the latest injury report with a right shoulder contusion."

Antetokounmpo has played in 39 games and is averaging 31.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 60.8% from the field and 23.5% from the three-point range. 

The Bucks are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 28-12 record in their first 40 games. 

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a three-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Bucks beat the Sacramento Kings (in overtime) by a score of 143-142. 

In 40 minutes of playing time, Antetokounmpo had 27 points, ten rebounds, ten assists and three steals while shooting 9/16 from the field.

Following the Cavs, the Bucks will visit the Detroit Pistons on Saturday afternoon in Michigan. 

On the road, they are 9-8 in 17 games away from Wisconsin.

As for the Cavs, they are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 23-15 record in their first 38 games. 

They are in the middle of a five-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games. 

Following the Bucks, the Cavs will visit the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday evening in Georgia.
