BREAKING: Jalen Brunson's Injury Status In Knicks-Cavs Game

Jalen Brunson went to the locker room during Sunday's game.

UPDATE: Jalen Brunson has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.  

UPDATE: Jalen Brunson is questionable to return.  

On Sunday evening, the New York Knicks are playing the Cleveland Cavaliers in Ohio. 

During the first quarter, Jalen Brunson went to the locker room with an injury.    

There has been no word from the team on his status for the rest of the game.

Via Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com: "Knicks star guard Jalen Brunson is hurt. He is limping to the locker room after one Knicks offensive possession."

The All-Star point guard came into the evening with sensational averages of 27.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.7 assists per contest while shooting 47.7% from the field and 40.7% from the three-point range in 56 games. 

The Knicks are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-25 record in 60 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 3-7 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Knicks lost to the Golden State Warriors by a score of 110-99. 

Brunson had 27 points, five rebounds and five assists while shooting 11/25 from the field and 4/7 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time. 

Following the Cavs, the Knicks will return home to host the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday evening at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan. 

As for the Cavs, they are having a fantastic season and are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 39-20 record in 59 games. 

They are 6-4 over their last ten games. 

Following New York, the Cavs will host the Boston Celtics on Tuesday evening.
