BREAKING: Jamal Murray's Injury Status In Heat-Nuggets Game

UPDATE: Jamal Murray has been ruled out for the remainder of the game (h/t Chris Haynes of The NBA on TNT and Bleacher Report).    

On Thursday evening, the Denver Nuggets are playing the Miami Heat (at home) in Colorado. 

During the game, starting point guard Jamal Murray went to the locker room.  

Murray has six points, one rebound and three assists while shooting 2/6 from the field in 14 minutes of playing time.   

The Nuggets have now announced that the 2023 NBA Champion is questionable to return.  

Via The Denver Nuggets: "Jamal Murray (right ankle sprain) is questionable to return to tonight's game."

Murray entered the evening with averages of 20.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest while shooting 48.0% from the field and 42.0% from the three-point range in 43 games.  

The Nuggets are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 40-19 record in 59 games.  

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Nuggets beat the Sacramento Kings by a score of 117-96. 

Murray was excellent and put up 32 points, three rebounds, six assists and one steals while shooting 13/15 from the field and 5/6 from the three-point range in only 33 minutes of playing time. 

Following the Heat, the Nuggets will visit Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday evening in California.

As for the Heat, they are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 33-25 record in 58 games. 

They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a five-game winning streak.
