There has been no official word from the team on his status for the remainder of the game.

Towns came into the evening with averages of 22.2 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field and 42.5% from the three-point range in 26 games.

Charlie Walton of Canis Hoopus reported more details.

Via Walton: "Karl-Anthony Towns limped off the court, favoring his left knee. Didn’t look like he was able to bend his knee really at all.

KAT is back in Minnesota’s locker room."

The Timberwolves are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 20-6 record in their first 26 games.

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 127-113.

Following the Lakers, the Timberwolves will play their next game on Saturday evening when they visit De'Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings in California.

Town was the first pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of Kentucky and is in his ninth season in the league (all with the Timberwolves).
