BREAKING: Luka Doncic's Injury Status In Wizards-Mavs Game

Luka Doncic went to the locker room during Monday's game.

UPDATE: Luka Doncic has returned to the game (h/t Joey Mistretta of ClutchPoints). 

On Monday evening, the Dallas Mavericks are playing the Washington Wizards (at home).   

During the second half, Luka Doncic went to the locker room.   

Doncic has 17 points, eight rebounds, 11 assists and two blocks while shooting 5/13 from the field and 1/6 from the three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time. 

There has been no word from the team on his status for the remainder of the game.

Doncic had just gone to the locker room earlier in the quarter due to a different issue but quickly returned to the game.

The most recent injury came from an elbow to his chin. 

Via Abby Jones of Bally Sports Southwest: "Corey Kispert hit Luka Doncic in the chin with this elbow. It has drawn blood. #MFFL"

Doncic is in the middle of another incredible season with averages of 34.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, 9.4 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 49.1% from the field and 38.0% from the three-point range in 45 games. 

The Mavs are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 30-23 record in 53 games. 

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a four-game winning streak. 

As for the Wizards, they are the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 9-43 record in 52 games. 

They are 2-8 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a six-game losing streak.
