BREAKING: Tyler Herro's Updated Injury Status For Heat-Nuggets Game

Tyler Herro has been upgraded on the injury report.

UPDATE: Tyler Herro has been upgraded to available.

On Monday evening, the Miami Heat will be in Colorado to face off against the Denver Nuggets for Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

2022 6th Man of The Year Tyler Herro has been out since the first game of the Playoffs (nearly two months ago) and had initially been ruled out for Game 5.

However, he has now been upgraded to questionable.

Via The Heat: "#MIAvsDEN INJURY UPDATE: Tyler Herro (hand) is listed as questionable to play in tonight's #NBAFinals Game 5 vs the Nuggets."

The Heat have done an excellent job without Herro, as they reached the NBA Finals by beating the Chicago Bulls (play-in tournament), Milwaukee Bucks (first seed), New York Knicks (fifth seed) and Boston Celtics (second seed).

In addition, they are only the second 8th seed in NBA history to make the Finals.

That said, the Heat are currently down 3-1 to the Nuggets, so any loss the rest of the way would result in them losing the series.

Herro has been one of the team's best players for four seasons and is coming off an impressive regular season where he averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 37.8% from the three-point range.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski also added a positive update on Herro's availability for Game 5.

Via Wojnarowski: "Miami's Tyler Herro -- who was upgraded to questionable -- is expected to suit up for Game 5 and attempt a return tonight, sources tell ESPN."
