BREAKING: Tyrese Maxey's Injury Status In Heat-76ers Game

Tyrese Maxey went to the locker room during Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers are hosting the Miami Heat in Pennsylvania.  

During the game, All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey went to the locker room with an injury.

Maxey has 20 points, five rebounds and six assists while shooting 8/14 from the field and 2/6 from the three-point range in 23 minutes of playing time.    

Via Tim Reynolds of AP Sports: "Tyrese Maxey to the Sixers' locker room. Seemed to have some sort of foot/heel/ankle issue."

Maxey is in the middle of an incredible season with averages of 25.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 44.7% from the field and 38.0% from the three-point range in 48 games.   

The 76ers are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-21 record in 53 games. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games but are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak. 

Following the Heat, the 76ers will host the New York Knicks on February 22. 

At home, they are 17-10 in 27 games played in Philadelphia. 

As for the Heat, they are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 29-25 record in 54 games. 

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and 14-12 in 26 games on the road.

Following the 76ers, the Heat visit Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans on February 23.
