The Celtics come into the evening as the best team in the NBA with a 37-16 record in 53 games.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and an outstanding 17-9 in the 26 they have played on the road away from Boston.

Last season, the Celtics made the NBA Finals (they lost to the Golden State Warriors in six games), and this year they once again look like a surefire contender.

As for the Pistons, it's been a tough season, as they come into the night with the second-worst record in the NBA.

They are 14-40 in 54 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference.

Over the last ten games, the Pistons are 3-7, and they are 7-20 in the 27 games they have played at home in Michigan.

The franchise has young talent, but they have not made the postseason since 2019 when Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond were still on the roster.

The Celtics beat the Pistons 117-108 (in Michigan) on November 12, which was their most recent matchup.
