Chicago Bulls Player In A Walking Boot After Suffering Foot Sprain

The Chicago Bulls announced an injury update on Julian Phillips.

On Saturday evening, the Chicago Bulls will host the Washington Wizards at the United Center in Illinois. 

Before the game (on Friday), the Bulls announced an injury update on rookie Julian Phillips. 

Via The Chicago Bulls: "Injury Update: Julian Phillips has been diagnosed with a right foot sprain. 

Phillips will be in a walking boot and his status will be updated as appropriate."

Phillips was the 35th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Tennessee.  

He has played in 40 games for the Bulls this season and is averaging 2.2 points per contest while shooting 41.6% from the field and 31.6% from the three-point range. 

In addition to his time in the NBA, Phillips has also played in the G League for the Windy City Bulls.  

He averaged 16.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field and 50.0% from the three-point range in four regular season games. 

As for the Bulls, they have had an up-and-down season and are the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-35 record in 67 games. 

They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games and most recently lost to Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers (at home) by a score of 126-111. 

Following the Wizards, the Bulls will play their next game on Monday evening when they host the Portland Trail Blazers. 

At home, they have gone 16-17 in the 33 games they have hosted at the United Center in Chicago.
