Chris Paul's Official Injury Status For Nuggets-Suns Game

Chris Paul has been officially ruled out for Game 6.

On Thursday evening, the Phoenix Suns are hosting the Denver Nuggets in Arizona for Game 6 of their second-round playoff series.

For the game, they will remain without star point guard Chris Paul, who has been ruled out for the fourth straight game due to a groin injury.

The future Hall of Famer got injured in the middle of Game 2.

Via Underdog NBA: "Chris Paul (groin) ruled out for Thursday."

The 38-year-old is averaging 12.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 41.8% from the field through his first seven games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

Currently, the Suns trail the Nuggets 3-2, so a loss would end the series.

That said, they can force a Game 7 with a victory (which would be on Sunday).

Each team has gone undefeated on their home floor in the series.

Most recently (in Game 5), the Nuggets blew out the Suns by a score of 118-102 on Tuesday night in Denver.

Nikola Jokic led the way with 29 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists.

Over the last two seasons, the Suns have been among the best teams in the league.

They made the NBA Finals in 2021 and lost in the second round in 2022 (but had the best record in the league during the regular season).

Whoever wins the series will advance to the Western Conference Finals and face off against either the Los Angeles Lakers or the Golden State Warriors (the Lakers have a 3-2 lead in the series).
