UPDATE: Dallas Mavericks And San Antonio Spurs Injury Reports

The Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs have announced their injury reports.

UPDATE: Luka Doncic is available, according to Marc Stein of The SteinLine.

On Wednesday evening, the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs will play their first game of the 2023-24 regular season (in San Antonio).

For the game, both teams have announced their injury reports (updated as of 1:30 Eastern Time).

The Mavs have listed Luka Doncic, Jaden Hardy and Dwight Powell as questionable.

Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News reported an update on Doncic.

Via Townsend: "Doncic participated in shootaround, seemingly a positive sign, but my guess is he’ll remain listed as questionable up until about 90 minutes before tip-off."

Meanwhile, the Spurs will be without Devonte Graham (suspension) and Zach Collins is listed as questionable.

The Mavs have one of the best rosters in the league, with Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Last year, Doncic averaged a sensational 32.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 49.6% from the field and 34.2% from the three-point range.

In 2022, the Mavs made the Western Conference Finals, but they are coming off a season where they were the 11th seed in the west and missed the NBA playoffs (and play-in tournament).

That said, they will still be seen as one of the top teams in the west going into the year.

As for the Spurs, they are coming off a season where they were the 15th seed in the west with a 22-60 record and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight year.

There is a lot of excitement around the franchise, as they selected Victor Wembanyama with the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
