D'Angelo Russell's Final Injury Status For Thunder-Lakers Game

D'Angelo Russell has been ruled out for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder in California.

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as D'Angelo Russell has been ruled out due to a hip injury.

Underdog NBA: "D'Angelo Russell (hip) ruled out Friday."

The 2019 NBA All-Star is in the middle of an excellent season with averages of 18.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 65 games.

He is also shooting a fantastic 46.6% from the field and 39.1% from the three-point range.

Russell began his season with the Minnesota Timberwolves but was traded to the Lakers last month.

The former Ohio State star has helped the Lakers completely turn around their season.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and on a two-game winning streak.

Right now, the Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference (one of the final two play-in tournament spots) with a 36-37 record in 73 games.

They have gone 1-1 against the Thunder this season, so whoever wins the game will own the tiebreaker.

At home, the Lakers are a very solid 20-17 in the 37 games they have hosted on their home floor in Los Angeles, California.

Meanwhile, the Thunder are also 36-37 record in 73 games and have gone 7-3 in their last ten.

That said, they have struggled on the road in a big way, going just 14-22 in the 36 games they have played outside of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
