D'Angelo Russell's Updated Injury Status For Thunder-Lakers Game

D'Angelo Russell is questionable for Friday's game.

On Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder in California.

For the game, they could be without their star point guard, as 2019 NBA All-Star D'Angelo Russell is now listed as questionable due to a hip injury.

Underdog NBA: "D'Angelo Russell (hip) now questionable Friday."

The former Ohio State star is in the middle of an excellent season with averages of 18.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 65 games.

He is also shooting a tremendous 46.6% from the field and 39.1% from the three-point range.

Last month, Russell was traded (via the Minnesota Timberwolves) to the Lakers, and he has helped them turn around their season.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and on a two-game winning streak.

On Wednesday evening, Russell put up 26 points, one rebound, six assists, one steal and two blocks (the Lakers beat the Phoenix Suns 122-111).

Right now, they are 36-37 in 73 games, which has them as one of the final two play-in tournament spots in the Western Conference.

At home, the Lakers have been good, going 20-17 in the 37 games they have hosted in Los Angeles, California.

As for the Thunder, they are also 36-37 in 73 games and are 1-1 against the Lakers this season.

Therefore, whoever wins the game will own the tie-breaker.

Over the last ten games, the Thunder have gone 7-3, but they are just 14-22 in 36 games on the road away from Oklahoma City.
