UPDATE: Darius Garland's Current Injury Status For Pistons-Cavs Game

Darius Garland could make his return on Wednesday.

UPDATE: Darius Garland is available (h/t Cayleigh Griffin of Bally Sports Cleveland). 

On Wednesday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Detroit Pistons in Ohio. 

For the game, the Cavs could get a huge boost to their starting lineup, as Darius Garland is listed as questionable.  

The 2022 NBA All-Star has not played in a game since December 14. 

Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium also reported a positive update on Tuesday. 

Via Charania on Tuesday: "Cavaliers star guard Darius Garland – out since Dec. 14 with a fractured jaw – plans to return Wednesday vs. Pistons, league sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Cleveland becomes whole this week with Evan Mobley and Garland back."

Garland has played in 20 games and is averaging 20.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 47.0% from the field and 34.6% from the three-point range.  

The Cavs have been able to play well in his absence and are currently the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 28-16 record in their first 44 games.  

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and have gone 9-1 over their last ten games.  

Following the Pistons, the Cavs will travel to Memphis for a matchup with the Grizzlies on Thursday evening. 

As for the Pistons, they are the 15th seed (last place) in the Eastern Conference with a 6-40 record in their first 46 games. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and following the Cavs, they will return home to host the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday evening in Detroit.
