DeMar DeRozan's Injury Status For Bulls-Trail Blazers Game

DeMar DeRozan has been ruled out for Friday's game.

On Friday night, the Chicago Bulls will be in Oregon to face off with the Portland Trail Blazers.

However, they will be without one of their best players for the game, as DeMar DeRozan has been ruled out due to a quad injury.

Underdog NBA: "DeMar DeRozan (quad) ruled out Friday."

The former USC star is in the middle of a fantastic season with averages of 25.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.1 steals per contest in 66 games (while shooting 50.9% from the field).

He is in his second season with the Bulls and has been an excellent fit on their roster.

Last year, DeRozan helped the franchise make the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2017, and he averaged a career-high 27.9 points per contest.

The Bulls are currently the tenth seed (the final play-in tournament spot) in the Eastern Conference with a 34-38 record in 72 games.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games but have gone just 14-21 in the 35 games they have played away from the United Center in Chicago.

As for the Trail Blazers, they are the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 32-40 record in 72 games.

They are 3-7 in their last ten games and have gone 17-18 in the 35 games they have hosted on their home floor in Oregon.

Last season, the Trail Blazers missed the NBA Playoffs after dealing with injuries, and they will likely miss the postseason once again this year.
