Donovan Mitchell's Injury Status For Cavs-76ers Game

Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out for Tuesday's game.

On Tuesday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be in Pennsylvania to face off against the Philadelphia 76ers.  

For the game, they will be without their best player, as All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out.   

Mitchell has missed the previous two games, so this will be his third straight out of the lineup.

Mitchell has played in ten games so far this season and is averaging 29.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.0 steals per contest while shooting 48.6% from the field and 39.3% from the three-point range. 

The Cavs are 7-6 in their first 13 games and in the middle of a three-game winning streak. 

Most recently, they defeated the Denver Nuggets by a score of 121-109. 

Darius Garland led the team with 26 points, three rebounds and six assists. 

Mitchell is in his second season with Cleveland after getting traded (via the Utah Jazz). 

Last year, the former Louisville star averaged 28.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 38.6% from the three-point range. 

Following the 76ers, the Cavs will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they host Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat in Ohio. 

As for the 76ers, they are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 10-3 record in their first 13 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and most recently defeated the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 121-99.
