Donovan Mitchell's Injury Status For Heat-Cavs Game

Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Miami Heat in Ohio.   

For the game, they will be without their best player, as All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out.   

Mitchell has missed each of the previous two games, so this will be his third straight out of the lineup.

Mitchell has played in ten games so far this season and is averaging 29.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.0 steals per contest while shooting 48.6% from the field and 39.3% from the three-point range. 

The Cavs are 8-6 in their first 14 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.  

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are 7-3 in their previous ten games. 

At home, the Cavs are 3-3 in the six games they have hosted in Ohio. 

Mitchell is in his second season with the Cavs, and he has made the NBA All-Star Game in each of the previous four years. 

Following the Heat, the Cavs will play their next game against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in Ohio on Saturday evening. 

As for the Heat, they are 9-5 in their first 14 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They are 8-2 in their previous ten games, and most recently defeated the Chicago Bulls by a score of 118-100 on Monday in Chicago. 

On the road, the Heat have gone 5-4 in the nine games they have played away from Miami.
