Donovan Mitchell's Injury Status For Nuggets-Cavs Game

Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out for Sunday's game.

On Sunday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Denver Nuggets in Ohio. 

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out.   

Mitchell also missed the team's last game, so this will be his second straight out of the lineup.

Mitchell has played in ten games so far this season and is averaging 29.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.0 steals per contest while shooting 48.6% from the field and 39.3% from the three-point range.  

The Cavs are 6-6 in their first 12 games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak. 

They most recently defeated the Detroit Pistons by a score of 108-100.  

Darius Garland led the team with 28 points and 30 minutes of playing time. 

Mitchell is in his second season with the Cavs and is coming off a year where he averaged 28.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 38.6% from the three-point range. 

Following the Nuggets, the Cavs will play their next game against the Philadelphia 76ers (in Pennsylvania) on Tuesday evening. 

As for the Nuggets, they are 9-3 in their first 12 games and most recently lost to the New Orleans Pelicans by a score of 115-110.  

Following the Cavs, they will play their next game on Monday evening when they visit Cade Cunningham and the Pistons in Michigan.
