Donovan Mitchell's Official Injury Status For Suns-Cavs Game

Donovan Mitchell is on the injury report for Monday's game.

On Monday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers will host Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns in Ohio.  

For the game, the Cavs will remain without their best player, as All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out. 

Mitchell has missed each of the previous six games, so this will be his seventh straight out of the lineup.

Mitchell is having another outstanding season and is averaging 28.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while shooting 47.2% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range in 47 games. 

The Cavs are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 41-23 record in 64 games. 

They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Brooklyn Nets (at home) by a score of 120-101. 

Following the Suns, the Cavs will head on the road to visit Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday evening in Louisiana. 

On the road, they are 19-11 in 30 games, while they are 22-12 in 34 games at home. 

As for the Suns, they enter the matchup with a 37-27 record in 64 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and most recently lost to Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics (at home) by a score of 117-107. 

Following the Cavs, the Suns will face off against the Celtics (again) on Thursday evening in Boston.
