Fred VanVleet's Official Injury Status For Rockets-Pacers Game

Fred VanVleet is on the injury report for Tuesday's game.

On Tuesday evening, the Houston Rockets will be in Indianapolis to face off against the Indiana Pacers.  

For the game, the Rockets will be without one of their best players, as starting point guard Fred VanVleet has been ruled out. 

Via Ben DuBose of The Rockets Wire: "Fred VanVleet is out for the #Rockets with a left adductor strain. Return timetable unknown."

VanVleet is in his first season with Houston and is averaging 16.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 8.2 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 40.9% from the field and 37.4% from the three-point range in 47 games.  

The Rockets are the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 23-26 record in 49 games. 

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves by a score of 111-90. 

In 32 minutes of playing time, VanVleet had 11 points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals and four blocks while shooting 4/11 from the field and 2/6 from the three-point range. 

After the Pacers, the Rockets will travel to Canada for a matchup with the Toronto Raptors on Friday evening. 

As for the Pacers, they are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 28-23 record in 51 games. 

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently beat Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets by a score of 115-99. 

Following the Rockets, the Pacers will remain in Indiana to host Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Thursday evening.
