Last year, the Heat made the Eastern Conference Finals for the second time in three seasons (they lost to the Boston Celtics in seven games).

After a tough start to the 2022-23 season, the Heat were able to finish as the seventh seed with a 44-38 record.

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and a very good 27-14 in the 41 games they hosted on their home floor in Miami, Florida.

As for the Hawks, they are the eighth seed with a 41-41 record.

They went 5-5 over their final ten games and are in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

On the road, the Hawks have struggled, going just 17-24 in 41 games played away from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

They have made the NBA Playoffs in each of the last two seasons and went to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021.

The Heat defeated the Hawks in the first round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs in five games.

Whoever wins Tuesday's game will be the seventh seed and face off with the Boston Celtics in the playoffs.
