The Hornets come into the night with a 3-5 record in their first eight games of the season (they are 2-3 on the road).

They had started out 3-3 but have now lost two games in a row.

Ball has yet to play in a game so far this season, and he is their best player, so that has hurt them in a big way.

In addition, Rozier has missed the last six games.

Coming into the season, they were already a team who would have to play exceptionally well to compete for the play-in tournament, so these injuries are very costly.

The Grizzlies enter the night with a 5-3 record in their first eight games, and they are 2-0 at home.

Ja Morant has averaged 31.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest.

He's also shooting a very impressive 52.5% from the field and 51.9% from the three-point range.

Last season, he made his first All-Star Game and won his first playoff series.

After finishing with the second-best regular season record in the league, Morant and the Grizzlies come into the new season with big expectations.
