UPDATE: Jaren Jackson Jr. has returned to the game.

On Wednesday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies are hosting the Los Angeles Lakers for Game 2 of their first-round playoff series.

During the game, Jaren Jackson Jr. got injured and went to the locker room.

Via Underdog NBA: "Status alert: Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) headed to locker room Wednesday."

Jackson Jr. is one of their most important players, and was recently named as the 2022-23 Defensive Player of The Year.

This season, he averaged 18.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.0 blocks per contest while shooting 50.6% from the field.

In Game 1, Jackson had a fantastic 31 points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks in 37 minutes of playing time.

The Grizzlies lost Game 1 by a score of 128-112 on Sunday afternoon, and Games 3 and 4 will be played in Los Angeles, California.

Therefore, they will need a victory to avoid falling into an 0-2 hole before two games on the road.

The Grizzlies are playing without their best player, All-Star point guard Ja Morant, so getting a victory will be challenging.

They were one of the best teams in the league this season and went 51-31, which got them the second seed in the Western Conference for the second straight year.

As for the Lakers, they are the seventh seed and went 43-39.

The winner of the series will face off with the Sacramento Kings or Golden State Warriors in the second round.
